The TimberPal has an internal switch (in the battery compartment) so you can use RED or YELLOW lights and both colors can be steady burning or flashing.
When the lights are facing towards oncoming traffic you must use yellow, only emergency vehicles are allowed to use red; Police, Ambulance, Fire Trucks etc.
USING RED LIGHTS:
Red is used for rear projecting loads and attach it to anything; lumber, big timber, logs, equipment, steel beams,
wide farm machinery when on roads or wide rear loads or any rear projecting load.
USING YELLOW LIGHTS:
Yellow is used when lights are facing towards oncoming traffic; when hauling wide loads, forward facing projections,
wide farm machinery traveling on roads, moving buildings or anytime when warning oncoming traffic is necessary.
